Why do I need 12 steps?

Steps of Recovery

Why do we need our own set of 12 steps?

Trauma. Trauma of any kind needs to be recovered from. Despite all of the books out there that you can read, and the meditation and the essential oils, you still find yourself stuck.

The twelve steps of S-Anon are a road map. Something tangible that you can focus on, work through and gain strength while recovering from the affects upon you of someone's else's addiction.

Not the actual steps, but here's an idea:

  1. You know you need help.
  2. Started to realize the program will help you.
  3. Trust the program.
  4. Look hard at ourselves.
  5. Admitted what we've done in our lives.
  6. Ready to let go.
  7. Asked for help.
  8. Determine who we should ask for forgiveness.
  9. Ask.
  10. Say you're sorry.
  11. Meditation to help you work your program.
  12. Pay it forward.
